Spanish Work overview - remote learning March 16-April 7

Greetings to my students!

I hope you and your families are well. I wish we were having class in person and I wonder how you are all faring. I'm doing fine, just trying to breath and take it in one day at a time.

As for Spanish, during our remote learning time I will be giving you lots of stories and other activities to keep your brain working on Spanish. Your brain is designed to learn language by reading and listening to Spanish that it can make sense of. While you are not in Spanish class, you can continue to improve your Spanish proficiency by reading and interacting with some texts in Spanish. There will also be other activities and some culture along the way.

I am posting the Spanish for week 1 now on my blog spanishschlichting.blogspot.com. I will be posting week 2 and 3 soon (probably on Tuesday). So check back on the blog for that. You don't have to wait until week 2 or 3 to do the work for those weeks. You could do it all in the next few days, if you wish. Up to you.

You can contact me via email at any time about Spanish or other! I would be happy to hear how you are all doing in this difficult time. My email address is: kschlichting@northampton-k12.us.
Take care of yourself and those around you by washing your hands!
Abrazos,

Señora Schlichting
PS Check the blog every few days for more announcements, exercises on quizlet and other activities. spanishschlichting.blogspot.com.

Week 1 - Remote learning

1) Go into schoology and do the verb endings pretest.  This will take you 5-ish minutes to do and will let me know if you are following the class online.  This is also info for me to see how well you are all understanding how to change verb endings.  USE YOUR BLUEBOOK page 30.  I don't expect you to have all the endings memorized yet!

2) For the work for this week, follow the link below for the stories you will be reading and activities you will be doing. You will be reading ONE story a day and doing ONE activity each day for that story.  So, for the first week, you should do five stories and five activities.   The instructions are on the first AND second slides!  The easiest way to read the slides will be to go into the present mode.
